The Observatory issued local heavy rain warnings to Yuen Long District, North District and Sai Kung District, indicating that the rain in the area concerned is extremely heavy and the rainfall is expected to exceed 70 mm per hour. The Observatory issued a special weather warning until nearly 11:30 in the morning, stating that another thunderstorm belt was approaching Hong Kong from the south, and the rain might be heavy in some areas in the next two to three hours.

The Observatory predicts that affected by the high-altitude anticyclone in the northern part of the South China Sea, the coastal areas will continue to be extremely hot in the next two or three days, with a few showers.

The Observatory stated that serious flooding may occur in these areas and issued a special report on flooding in the northern New Territories.

Six consecutive days of showers from Saturday with thunderstorms in some areas

The Observatory predicts that it will be generally cloudy today with showers and thunderstorms. Initially, there will be heavy rain in some areas with light breeze.

Looking forward to the next two or three days, the intense heat will continue and there will be a few showers; there will be more showers and thunderstorms early next week.

Tomorrow (26th) there will be sunshine for part of the time, there will be a few showers, and the day will be very hot.

The temperature in the urban area ranges from 28 to 33 degrees. In many areas of the New Territories, including Sheung Shui and Tai Po, the temperature is as high as 35 degrees, and it is expected to reach 37 degrees in Cheung Chau.
