Tartous-Sana
A large number of citizens gathered in front of the electoral centers in Tartous with the first moments of the opening of the polls in front of the voters to cast their votes and choose their candidate for the post of President of the Republic.
Hussein Barakat, head of the Electoral Center at the Governorate General Secretariat, pointed out to the high turnout of citizens and the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army from the first moments of the opening of the ballot boxes, while taking all necessary measures to smooth the conduct of the electoral process and facilitate it in front of the voters.
In turn, the head of the Thaer Al-Juhani Electoral Preparatory Center in Baniyas, Sami Muhammad Ahmad, stated that at half past six o'clock the boxes were opened and made sure that they were free of any papers according to the election law, and the boxes were closed in the presence of the candidates ’agents, while the reception of the voters took place at exactly seven o'clock.
He pointed out that the center has witnessed, from the moment the funds were opened, a large turnout of citizens to vote and elect their candidate for the post of President of the Republic.
