Today, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf was reelected as Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, after winning an internal vote in the Council.
The internal polling took place between Qalibaf and the deputy for the city of Kazerun Fereidun Abbasi Dawani, where Qalibaf received 230 votes, and Abbasi Dawani received 18 votes from the council members.
Qalibaf was elected on the 28th of May last year as speaker of the Shura Council for one year, and today he is re-elected for a second year.
