Germering belongs to a constituency with Starnberg and Landsberg
Fürstenfeldbruck / Dachau - The constituency 215 consists of the districts of Fürstenfeldbruck and Dachau.
The city of Germering belongs to constituency 224, which consists of Germering and the districts of Landsberg and Starnberg.
The turnout in the previous federal election in 2017 was 82.18 percent in the Bruck / Dachau district.
232,125 people were entitled to vote.
In the second votes, which decide on the distribution of seats in the Bundestag (more on the electoral system, see here), the CSU got 39.83 percent, the SPD 13.66 percent, the Greens eleven, the FDP 11.59 percent AfD to 11.55, the Left to 5.07 and the Free Voters to 2.39 percent.
As a direct candidate, Katrin Staffler (CSU, 43.64 percent) clearly opposed Michael Schrodi (SPD, 18.73 percent), Beate Walter-Rosenheimer (Greens, 9.11 percent), Andreas Schwarzer (FDP, 7.22), Florian Jäger (AfD, 10.22) and other candidates through.

In addition to Staffler, Michael Schrodi (after a tremendous game while counting) and Beate Walter-Rosenheimer moved into the Bundestag via their respective state lists.
Both Katrin Staffler and Michael Schrodi and Beate Walter-Rosenheimer are running again.
Florian Jäger for the AfD and Christian Kreiß for the party “Die Basis” have also announced their candidacy.
Some parties still need supporters' signatures in order to be allowed to stand, such as the ÖDP, Volt, the Basis or the Bavarian Party.
Nominations must be submitted by July 19.
