MTR: Open as soon as possible after government approval

The MTR has previously announced that the Tuen Ma Line is expected to be fully opened in the third quarter of this year. It will extend from Kai Tak, the current terminus of the first phase of the Tuen Ma Line, to Song Wong Terrace, To Kwa Wan, and Ho Man Tin. The terminus is Hung Hom and will be connected to the West Rail Line. There will be 27 stations with a length of 56 kilometers, making it the longest railway line in Hong Kong.
The Hung Hom Station project on the Sha-Central Line was revealed in mid-2018 by the scandal of steel bar cutting, which eventually caused the project to be delayed again and the Tuen Ma Line could only be opened to traffic in sections.
According to the news, after more than three months of test runs, the entire Tuen Ma line is likely to be opened to traffic in the last week of June, with a higher chance on Sunday, June 27.
The cross-sea section of the Shazhong line will be difficult to open in 2022
