The Chilean writer of Syrian origin Pablo Sabbagh emphasized that the presidential elections in Syria are very important and constitute a strong impetus for the reconstruction there.
Sabbagh said during a visit today to the Syrian embassy in the Spanish capital, Madrid, on the occasion of the presidential elections: “These elections will constitute a strong impetus towards the reconstruction of Syria and its full return to its normal state, as is the case in the rest of the world.”
Sabbagh congratulated the Syrian people on this important day, noting the conduct of the electoral process and its precise organization.
The Syrian voters began to flock to the polling stations in the various governorates since seven o'clock this morning to exercise their constitutional right to choose the President of the Republic.
