The Grünwalder Einkehr is saved.

The building and the chapel on the opposite side of the street have now been placed under a preservation order.

Grünwald - The Grünwalder Einkehr is placed under ensemble protection and therefore cannot be demolished.

At its most recent meeting, the State Monuments Council approved the entry of the Einkehr as an ensemble in the list of monuments.

This was announced yesterday evening by press spokeswoman Juliane Grimm from the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation.

In Grünwald they are very relieved after this decision.

As reported, the community had pulled out all the stops to preserve the beautiful scenery at the entrance to the village.

Shortly after Arabella Schörghuber sold the inn.

The strategy was obviously crowned with success.

"The Grünwalder Einkehr must no longer be demolished," says Curator General Mathias Pfeil (60) of the Bild newspaper.

Bavaria's Minister of Education, Bernd Sibler, is also quoted in the article as saying: “The chapel and restaurant, the oldest built-up area in the Geiselgasteig district of Grünwald, together shape the entrance to the village and welcome visitors and residents with a tradition.

This historical picture is now being saved as a memorial. "

City hall has not yet received any notification

Grünwald's mayor Jan Neusiedl is happy about the news.

A written notification has not yet been received by the town hall.

Be that as it may, the ensemble at the entrance to the village with its restaurant and chapel is close to his heart.

The monument authority now apparently saw it the same way.

Use of the building is left to the owner

A development plan for the area is still necessary.

Neusiedl: "There is building permission on it and that should be sorted." If necessary, however, it is already possible in the future - compatible with the ensemble protection - to build extensions.

Only the formative cubature should not be changed.

How the new owner uses the building and whether he plans apartments is up to him.
