US President Joe Bain has ordered to speed up the investigation of US intelligence agencies investigating the possibility that the corona virus leaked from a lab in China, US media reported tonight (Wednesday).
The president reportedly instructed the intelligence community to redouble its efforts in investigating the source of the epidemic that claimed the lives of millions around the world.
Biden demands that the findings be passed on to him within 90 days, after an intelligence report revealed new details about the origin of the virus in a laboratory in China.
A U.S. intelligence report found that several researchers at the Institute of Virology in the city of Wuhan in China fell ill in November 2019 and had to be hospitalized - a new detail that was discovered and sparked further discussions about the original origin of the plague.

"As part of the report, I have sought to open up further required lines of inquiry, including specific questions regarding China," Biden said in a statement.
"I also asked that this effort include work by our national lab array and other government agencies to bolster the intelligence community. And I asked the intelligence community to keep Congress up to date on its full work," he added.
The president noted that the fact that the United States had failed to bring inspectors into the area in the first months of the epidemic on its behalf "would always hurt any investigation into the source of Covid-19."
Criticism of the World Health Organization investigation
The World Health Organization conducted an investigation into the source of the epidemic and concluded in the report that the risk of leakage from the Bohan Institute, where research was conducted on the corona using bats, was "extremely low".
