Iranian President Hassan Rouhani confirmed today that the Iranian delegation has made remarkable progress on the basic issues in the Vienna negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file.
"The Iranian negotiating delegation has made remarkable progress in the negotiations, especially in the basic issues," IRNA news agency quoted Rouhani as saying. "As for the articles in dispute, dialogue is ongoing about them and they are subject to solution."
He added, "The Iranian negotiators always take into account the principles that have been set as general policies for negotiation, among which is the necessity for the other parties to fully adhere to their obligations and America first return to the agreement and abide by its commitments and act upon them. And if this happens in practice, Iran will act according to its obligations."
Rouhani had confirmed the day before yesterday that his country would continue the Vienna talks with the parties to the nuclear agreement until a final agreement was reached, stressing that the growth of production in the various industrial sectors in the country is the greatest evidence of the futility of the US policy of maximum pressure.
