The leader of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, threatened today (Wednesday) in his first statement since Operation Wall Guard that the terrorist organization will not hesitate to attack if Israel hits the Temple Mount.
In a statement issued to the foreign media in the Gaza Strip, he said that "what happened is only a preparation for what will happen if the occupation harms al-Aqsa."
He said, "We have ten thousand martyrs within Israel who are ready to respond to the attack on Jerusalem. The same alleged coexistence (within the territories of Israel) has collapsed forever."
Sinwar noted that Israel had failed to evacuate Hamas fighters to the tunnels.
"Hamas intelligence was aware of the IDF's fraud scheme and" did not swallow the bait that a ground invasion began, "he said.
Sinwar added that the tunnels in the Gaza Strip cover 500 kilometers, and only 5% of them were hit by Israel. They have only minor damage, "he claimed
