The Dashantou hiking trail turns into a concrete road, and a new concrete "ladder" is about to appear!

This new trail belongs to the "Anderson Road Quarry Development Plan". It starts at the third section of Wilson Trail near a pavilion near Da Niu Lake. It first rises to the southwest to about 220 meters, then the mountain The trail turns to the west and continues upwards until the top of the 400-meter-high Dashantuo Mountain, after which the trail will descend northward to connect to the open space in the future development area.
According to the development plan, the authorities will build a viewing platform on the top of Dashangtuo Mountain.

The reporter visited the site in mid-May and found that from Weijing intersection to the top of Dashangtuo Mountain, the contractor had developed a slope of 2 to 3 meters along the proposed trail, which was about three times the width of the cement trail, and some locations were even worse. It is up to 5 meters wide.
Along the road, there are many building materials including steel bars and a dredger.
Trail runner Zeng Xiaoqiang was dissatisfied with the removal of a large number of trees for the project, and drove a wide slope on the hillside. He sighed: "It's rough, outrageous, and exaggerated! The shovelers are all up to the top of the mountain. It's outrageous. So wide!"
Based on this section of the uphill road, about half of the road has been paved with concrete, and there are both flat concrete roads and steep concrete buildings.

The Concretization Concern Group on Country Trails made an online appeal on Wednesday, hoping that Shanyou and nearby residents would sign a joint letter to oppose the construction of Dashang Tuoshan Trail.

The Planning Department published the "Phase 2 Community Involvement Report" for the "Future Land Use Planning Study of Anderson Road Quarry – Feasibility Study" in February 2013.
