The far-right group leaves Juan Manuel Moreno without sufficient support in the Andalusian Parliament

The Vox group in the Andalusian Parliament has fulfilled its threat to leave the Andalusian Government of the coalition of PP and Citizens without support, by knocking down one of its star laws, which raises doubts about the duration of the Andalusian legislature. The party of Santiago Abascal has abstained in the debate on the return amendment presented by Adelante Andalucía to the draft law on Impulse for the Sustainability of the Territory of Andalusia, which replaces the current Land Law, thus leaving it in the minority to the parties that support the autonomous Executive.

From the first minute of the legislature, the far-right group has been threatening to leave the Government chaired by Juan Manuel Moreno (PP) without parliamentary support, with which it has signed an investiture agreement and three regional budgets. Two weeks ago, Vox warned that it would only support with its votes those proposals and commitments that they had signed, but nothing more. The reason for this turn, which occurs after the elections in the Community of Madrid, is in the decision of the Abascal formation to toughen up and mark distances with Moreno, who is demanding the call for regional elections.

Vox officially explained this turn in its rejection of the decision of the Junta de Andalucía to take in 13 unaccompanied Moroccan minors after the massive arrival of migrants to Ceuta. For the ultra-conservative training, the agreement reached by Andalusia and the rest of the autonomous communities with the central government to locate the minors is a "disgraceful document" that "silences" their ideas, as explained by Alejandro Hernández, recently replaced as spokesman for the parliamentary group by the deputy for Cádiz Manuel Gavira.

Hernández has made it clear that "under normal circumstances" the bill would have been agreed upon, but given that Vox requests the electoral advance, he considers that the negotiation is "incompatible" with the legislative process. "From these elections another correlation of forces and other demands may arise when it comes to processing the law," he said. The Vox deputy then announced the abstention "unless otherwise determined at the last minute."

From that moment on, the PP phones have started to smoke. Calls to the national leadership of Vox - specifically, to the parliamentary spokesperson for the formation in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros - have followed each other by land, sea and air in search of a go-ahead from Madrid to avoid defeat. Parliament of the Government, who have finally failed. When the deputies were already preparing to vote, the president of Parliament, Marta Bosquet (Citizens), decided to delay the vote by one hour, discarding the time set by herself in agreement with the spokespersons.

Abascal's party had been warning for several months that the relationship of trust with the Andalusian government was cracked, but until now it had not left Moreno out.

He governs with the support of 26 deputies from the PP, 21 from Citizens and 11 from Vox, which guarantees him an absolute majority.

In front of the 50 years of the left (33 of the PSOE and 17 of a shattered Adelante Andalucía).

The popular also tried moments before the start of the debate that Adelante Andalucía withdraw the amendment to the entire land law, with promises to negotiate all the details of the legislative project that for Adelante and also for the PSOE represents the "return to the years of the brick ”and to the“ wild urbanism ”.

Vox also left the Andalusian Government alone in the vote of a decree law that establishes aid of two million euros for local entities of the community. This has not been endangered because the left has saved the vote with the commitment that the decree will be processed as a bill. The ultra party did vote on a bill on tax cuts that it had agreed with the PP. Also in this debate there has been one of the strangest circumstances experienced in the Andalusian Parliament: the fiscal initiative that the PP signed with Vox was identical to another signed by the popular with Ciudadanos. When the elections were registered in the Community of Madrid they were in the chapel and the Arrimadas party did not want to join their logo and signature to that of Vox.

Vox's insistence on demanding elections collides with the decision repeated on numerous occasions by the president of the Board to exhaust the legislature. "Now it's time to vaccinate and create jobs," said Moreno, who, however, would only anticipate "except for reasons of necessity", that is, to remain in the minority in Parliament. From the Andalusian Government they reiterate that this year there will be no elections.
