This Wednesday - starting at 2 pm - the Constitutional Affairs commission meets to rule on the initiative that postpones the STEP of August 8 to September 12 and the general elections of October 24 to November 14.

The national civil servant, articulator of the agreement with Together for the Change to achieve postponement of the elections, will present in the virtual commission.
The text - which included the "lock clause" requested by the opposition to prevent the dates from being modified again or the STEP being suspended - had a half-sanction of 233 affirmative votes last week in Deputies.

Although there was sufficient agreement in the Senate to vote this week and enable the treatment of the project on tables with a majority of two thirds - so as not to have to wait for the seven days of the dispatch to pass - as a result of the strict confinement decreed by the Chairman, it was decided to avoid the session and hold it for next week.
Beyond the agreement on the dates, there are two other points that the opposition continues to insist: that the vote of foreigners by mail be reinstated - a possibility that was closed after Alberto Fernández repealed the decree of Mauricio Macri- and that the forces of security affected by the electoral command can vote in advance.
Earnings for companies
This Wednesday the Budget Commission also meets to dispatch the project that modifies the rates of the Income Tax for companies.
The norm was approved last week in Deputies, where they made final touches on it.
The original ruling established a 25% rate for companies with profits of up to $ 5 million;
30% for profits of up to $ 20 million and 35% for companies that exceed that figure.
But the president of the Budget Commission, Carlos Heller, announced that 25% will be kept for companies with profits of up to $ 5 million.
But the second cap was extended: those that earn between $ 5 million and $ 50 million will pay 30% and only those that earn from $ 50 million will pay 35%.
Dividends will pay the 7% rate in all cases.
"This means a reduction of around 20,000 million pesos in the estimated collection with the previous project," said Heller, and assured that the project "implies a reduction in the tax burden for the vast majority of companies."
The initiative reaps the rejection of Together for Change, which considers that it is not a year to raise any taxes, even for the largest companies, and that the initiative "discourages investment and job creation."
