Three weeks after the explosion of a model airplane in an apartment building in Karlsfeld, a man died of severe burns.
Karlsfeld - The 73-year-old had tinkered with a model airplane in the apartment of an apartment building on Rathausstrasse in Karlsfeld (we reported).
According to the police, the engine exploded for unknown reasons and the plane caught fire.
The man threw the model into the bathtub and then left the apartment, which was now heavily smoky, together with his 76-year-old wife.
The burn victims were brought to the Fürstenfeldbruck Clinic with serious injuries.
There was property damage amounting to around 50,000 euros.

The apartment is currently no longer habitable, other residents were not endangered by the rapid rescue operation of the fire brigades from Dachau and Karlsfeld.
The 73-year-old Karlsfelder, who had meanwhile been transferred to the Bogenhausen hospital, died last Tuesday of serious burn injuries, according to the Dachau police.
The further investigations are carried out by the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police.
