Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, during his meeting this evening with members of the Russian Federation delegation that participated in accompanying the presidential elections in Syria that took place yesterday, confirmed the depth of bilateral relations between Syria and Russia at all political and parliamentary levels.

The minister welcomed the participation of the delegation, which includes members of the "Duma" House of Representatives, as well as representatives of the "Russian Civil Council", in accompanying the electoral process, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between Syria and Russia at all political and parliamentary levels.

Minister Al-Miqdad presented the electoral process in the Syrian embassies and general consulates abroad, pointing to the massive turnout of Syrian citizens everywhere for participation, which shows the Syrians' commitment to the present and future of their homeland and their desire to contribute to the future of their country, its stability and prosperity.

Members of the delegation reviewed their observations and observations during the electoral process, which they accompanied at the invitation of the Syrian People's Assembly, and emphasized the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

For his part, the representative of the Russian Civil Council, Maxim Grigoriev, expressed the importance of the experience of accompanying the electoral process in Syria, describing it as taking place in a legitimate and transparent manner, pointing out the importance of strengthening cooperation between civil society organizations and institutions in both Syria and Russia.
