In addition, Sha Tin Chong Zhen School (Year 6) in Lek Yuen Village, Sha Tin was also included in the list of mandatory testing at the designated level, and the faculty members who had contact with the class were also required to be subject to mandatory testing.

A spokesperson for the Food and Health Bureau said that due to the outbreak of upper respiratory tract infections and/or influenza-like illnesses in five schools, and the related illnesses are similar to COVID-19, it is necessary to include mandatory testing announcements for the sake of caution.
According to the current practice, the CHP will directly provide stool sample bottles and deep throat saliva test sample collection kits to schools subject to mandatory testing.
