He was connected from Bavaria and discussed with his Prime Minister colleagues and Angela Merkel.
However, this did not prevent him from announcing innovations for the Free State that went beyond the resolutions at the summit.
Vaccination summit with Merkel: children from the age of twelve receive a vaccination offer
At the vaccination summit it was agreed, among other things, that children and adolescents between the ages of twelve and 16 can receive a vaccination offer from June 7th - when the prioritization generally falls.
However, the prerequisite is that a vaccine has been approved by then.
Like adults, adolescents can then go to their family doctor or a vaccination center to arrange a vaccination appointment.

In addition, Markus Söder announced innovations for Bavaria at the press conference after the Corona summit on Thursday. Two weeks after the Whitsun vacation, normal face-to-face classes should be back almost everywhere in Bavaria. Only in rural districts and urban districts with a seven-day incidence of over 100 - there are currently only very few of them - will there be alternating classes after June 21st.
Söder wants to further relax the corona rules for schools.

Two weeks later, the limit should then rise to 100.
This period of time should serve as "security" after the holidays, explained Söder.
Schools are now being made possible again, said the head of government.
"The concept with testing and the teachers who have already been vaccinated has proven itself very, very well, so that we also send a signal of perspective." This means that actual face-to-face teaching is possible again for seven or at least five weeks until the summer vacation.
In this context, Söder assured that there should be no compulsory corona vaccination for children and adolescents.
"Nobody
needs to be vaccinated," said the CSU politician.
"We want to make vaccination offers, but there is no compulsory vaccination." School will
