Syrian playwrights are exercising their constitutional right to qualify for the presidential elections in the electoral center located in the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture from the early hours of the morning.
Imad Jalloul, Director of the Theaters and Music Directorate, said in a statement to SANA that there is a remarkable turnout by artists and citizens for the center in the directorate since the early hours of the morning, as an affirmation of national sovereignty, indicating that the electoral center in the directorate continues to receive voters until the evening in an organized and appropriate manner for the Syrian voter.
In turn, theater director Suhair Barhoum, Director of the National Theater, made it clear that the entitlement comes after ten years of war to deny the distorted image that Syria's enemies tried to make abroad from our country and our people. This denial came through the image that reflected the influx of crowds of citizens to the polling stations to exercise their electoral right to choose a president. For the Republic, considering that the next difficult phase holds a lot of hope for a positive transformation through work that will be devoted hand in hand with the elected president.
Ibaa Salman, director of Al-Qabbani theater, confirmed that the Syrian people of all walks of life today express their love for their country by exercising their constitutional right to choose the president of the republic, pointing out that workers in the Syrian theater were and are still working in all difficult circumstances for a better future for Syria.
Head of the Electoral Fund in the Directorate of Theaters and Music Yusef Ahmed pointed out that the center started receiving voters from 7 am in the presence of the supervising committee and candidate representatives, and the voters from the directorate’s employees and outside it began to arrive and exercise their electoral right in a smooth manner that preserves the freedom of voting within the secret room.
