The vaccination center in Peißenberg has been closed since yesterday due to a lack of vaccines.
At the earliest, operations should be resumed on Saturday, announced its manager Christian Achmüller yesterday at the request of the local newspaper.
It is not the case that the state government has prohibited initial vaccinations in the vaccination centers until June 7th.
But it is probably the case that no vaccine is supplied for primary vaccinations.
And since there were no first vaccinations for three days six weeks ago, there are now three days on which no second vaccinations are scheduled.
Normally such days would have been used to carry out a lot of first vaccinations.
But because there is currently no vaccine for this, the vaccination center remains closed.
However, the costs for this continue to run.
Also in the coming week probably no first vaccinations in the vaccination center
Around 3000 second vaccinations are to be carried out this week.
So many doses of vaccine have been delivered.
They are mainly administered by the mobile vaccination teams and at the branch in Penzberg.
Achmüller has already announced that, according to the current state of knowledge, no initial vaccinations can be given in the vaccination center in the coming week.
"We hope that we will receive enough vaccine to be able to carry out the upcoming second vaccinations on time," said Achmüller.
He could not seriously assess whether and how the delivery situation will develop from mid-June.
But the fact is that if the contract is not extended again, the last first vaccinations will take place in Peißenberg in mid-August, because the contract with the district will expire at the end of September.
