At about midnight today (28th), a taxi was driving along Tsuen Wan Road towards Kowloon. It was off Kwai Chung Road near Lai King Station. The taxi was suspected of being too late to stop and crash into the rear of a New Territories South Stormtrooper police car. .
A male taxi driver in his 20s sprained his neck. He refused to be sent to the hospital, and then went to North Lantau Hospital for medical treatment on his own.
After the accident, the police officer looked at the Cam footage of the taxi on the spot for investigation, and took the driver to the police car for questioning.
According to sources, police officers found a small amount of medicine in the taxi, and at one time suspected that the accident involved drug driving. However, after investigation, it was believed that the incident did not involve drug driving.
It is understood that the taxi involved in the case was extensively destroyed on Tuesday (25th).
At 3 o'clock in the morning of the same day, the driver of the taxi surnamed Zeng (27 years old) returned to the taxi stand off No. 3 Chang Lok Street, Yau Ma Tei, and found that all the windows of the car had been blown.
The police classified the case as "criminal damage" and handed it over to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Yau Tsim Police District to take over for investigation.
