The Chancellor candidate's plans have sparked plenty of discussion in recent weeks.
According to a survey, the majority of Germans agree with her on some points.
Berlin - In mid-May, Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock (Greens) announced in an interview that she wanted to abolish short-haul flights.
Even cheap prices such as 29 euros for Mallorca flights should no longer exist if you are serious about climate policy.
Baerbock's plans caused a stir in the past few weeks.
Previously, Olaf Scholz (SPD) had also commented on this.
He is in favor of taking action against cheap flights and obtaining a lower price limit.
A recent survey on this topic on behalf of the German Press Agency gave a surprising result.
Survey on the abolition of short-haul flights: Many Germans support Baerbock's proposal
A majority of people in Germany would actually like to abolish short-haul flights - or at least increase the price.
Almost one in four (24 percent) spoke out in an online survey by the opinion research institute YouGov on behalf of the German Press Agency for an abolition.
Around one in three (34 percent) would like to make short-haul flights more expensive with a tax in order to make them less attractive.
Another quarter of those surveyed (26 percent) spoke out against any change in short-haul flights - the rest, according to the dpa, were undecided or rejected all three options.

Survey: There are also many supporters of the speed limit of 130 among Germans
Another exciting result from the survey: Almost every second person would also support a speed limit of 130 km / h or less.
43 percent of those questioned would be for a speed limit of 130 km / h on motorways, 7 percent for a speed limit that would be even lower.
17 percent would be in favor of a limit at a value of more than 130 km / h.
Around one in four (27 percent) reject a general speed limit.
Both the SPD and the Greens advocate the speed limit of 130 km / h.
In the current polls for the 2021 federal election, Baerbock and her party are behind the CDU.
They are currently a few percentage points behind the Union at 23 percent.
If the Germans could elect their chancellor directly, Annalena Baerbock of the Greens would continue to do best.
