The French Dispatch
, Wes Anderson's new film will be in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
Usually scheduled in spring, the 74th edition of the festival will be held this year from July 6 to 17 on the Croisette.
In the presence, therefore, of the team of this film set in France in the 1950s. The news was announced on the feature film's Twitter account, which unveils a new poster for the occasion.
If the final selection for the 74th edition will not be announced until Thursday, June 3, several films have already announced that they are in the running for the Palme d'Or.

The French Dispatch
has also announced its new US release date, Friday, October 22, 2021. If the release date of the film in France remains unknown, it could be set two days before the US release, or on Wednesday following.

offers to meet regulars like Bill Murray, Adam Brody, Owen Wilson, Saoirse Ronan, Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand.
