By declaring immersive education contrary to the supreme law, the Constitutional Council first stunned the defenders of regional languages.
But they did not stand still for long and, as the controversy took a national political turn, they decided to take action.
This Saturday, in response to the call of the collective "So that our languages live", around sixty events are planned in Occitania, the Basque Country, Brittany, but also in Hauts-de-France, Corsica, Alsace .
With a slogan:
"if immersive teaching is contrary to article 2 of the constitution, well, we must change the constitution,"
says Sébastien Castet, head of Euskal Konfederazioa, who has planned to bring together all the supporters of the Basque language.
How many will they be, this Saturday, in front of the sub-prefecture of Bayonne?

This is the eternal question, because the subject of regional languages is like a sounding board: it makes much more noise than it actually has.
