Federal prosecutor's office charges alleged left

Left-wing extremists are said to have attacked people from the right-wing scene on several occasions. The federal prosecutor's office has now brought charges against three men and one woman.

After several attacks on people from the right-wing scene, the federal prosecutor's office brought charges against four alleged left-wing extremists from Leipzig.

The process is to take place at the Dresden Higher Regional Court, as the Karlsruhe authority announced.

According to the indictment, the central figure in the group, a woman in her mid-twenties, has been in custody since her arrest in early November.

Among other things, she is accused of dangerous bodily harm and a particularly serious breach of the peace.

Three men who are alleged to be at large are now also accused.

They are also charged with dangerous bodily harm.

All four are said to have belonged to a larger militant left-wing extremist group, which the federal prosecutor classifies as a criminal organization.

In total, there are six attacks on people from the right-wing scene in which the defendants were involved.

For example, in October 2019 you are said to have attacked a restaurant in Eisenach, Thuringia, which was considered a meeting place for rights.

There they are said to have injured their victims with batons, irritant gas and fist blows.

The newspaper Die Welt first reported on the indictment and cited security circles.
