Residents of Lod said this morning (Friday) that minutes before a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Jewish house, 15 people were sitting in the yard where he hit and studying Torah together. According to them, the police station commander did not arrive at the scene at night, and the feelings of promiscuity and insecurity created during Operation Wall Guard do not leave. Police have opened an investigation into the incident.

"At 12:30, three Molotov cocktails hit this building, and on the first floor we have four children sleeping in bed," he told Walla! Eliezer Lines, member of the neighborhood committee. "We did not dream that it would come here. My friends and I sat here, we sat here for ten minutes in a garden apartment downstairs, where the bottle was thrown. A miracle on every scale."

"The neighborhood here is a closed neighborhood. Not mixed, not close to Arab neighborhoods," he continued. "It takes us back to events that were here recently. There were terrorist attacks here. Jews were murdered here in the city. We went back to an event that almost ended with children dying at night in their bed. Events we did not see in Central Israel,A few minutes from Tel Aviv. "

Eliezer said, "We do not feel safe in the city. There is no senior police representative, we expected to see the police chief here in the field giving answers to residents returning to their bed to sleep. The only feeling is that everyone has to defend themselves. The police chief has not arrived. "We were expecting answers, people wanted to go back to sleep. Instead they packed their things and thought about where to go. Who would answer them at two in the morning to make them feel safe?"

"A Molotov cocktail hit my window sill, next to my children, aged 12 and ten, and landed on the neighbors' balcony," he told Walla!

Zeevi, a tenant in the building.

"The children woke up, the whole house smelled of soot. Too bad they are waiting for something more serious to happen. We are used to shootings. There has been a mess here lately, but it was quiet in our neighborhood - and now it is not. I am not afraid, we will not leave the neighborhood."

Itai and Hannah, who live next to the yard where the Molotov cocktail landed, said in a conversation with Walla! That the suspects connected four Molotov cocktails together to intensify the damage. "A miracle that three bottles remained intact, the police investigator showed us them intact, it is not clear how they did not shatter," Itai said.

"Hannah woke me up and said they were shooting at us," he described the moments of fear. "We saw a huge flame. It felt like it was entering our house. Miraculously, the neighborhood's CBT passed here, which came to distribute some fire extinguishers in preparation for the Arab demonstration that is to take place today. The response was quick and he put out the fire within a minute and a half. My eldest child, eight years old, woke up in a panic and said he was suffocating from smoking. We calmed him down and did not let him see what was happening. "

Tonight, unknown individuals were documented throwing Molotov cocktails at the house on Baal Hatanya Street in the Sha'ar Ha'ir neighborhood of Lod.

None of the family members, who were sleeping at home at the time, were injured in the incident.

Police have yet to arrest suspects.

At the same time, the police are investigating a suspicion of another case of attacking Arabs tonight in Binyamina on a nationalist background.

According to the suspect, about ten black-shirted men stopped the vehicle of a 30-year-old driver, broke his windows, pulled him out of it and attacked him with fists and bottles, injuring him moderately.
