What does the correct urban development of Moosburg look like?

The Greens have now discussed this online in front of an audience - and broached many topics.

Moosburg

- It was a virtual tour through the city - with the clear statement that Moosburg's growth was limited: The Greens met on Tuesday for a virtual local assembly and discussed the city's development online.

In doing so, they defined clear boundaries for themselves.

Plea for Montessori School

3. Mayor Michael Stanglmaier made it clear that he sees the growth area for Moosburg within the western bypass.

Outside this building limit, he defended the location decision of the Montessori school.

According to its philosophy, this fits into the outdoor area.

"We absolutely want to have the school in Moosburg," said Stanglmaier about this exceptional permit.

Talks with the Rockermaier investor

When he took another look at the current Moosburg building areas, he declared that the Greens had a majority in favor of the planning for the Rockermaier area and the Upper Gereuth area.

According to Stanglmaier, this building area lies within the natural border area with the Isar.

The Greens want to grow within the defined limits, seal manageable areas and break new ground in terms of ecology.

Stanglmaier also stated that initial discussions had already been held with the Rockermaier investor about setting up a sharing system.

Stanglmaier sees the central densification positively (“Almost everything is within walking distance”), and offers such as a rental cargo bike for the residents of the settlement could limit an increase in the number of cars on the streets.

"No positive voice for Aicher building area"

A counterexample for the sensible redensification is the planned building area in Aich for the 3rd mayor.

There you have no good infrastructure and also a bad connection to the local public transport.

“I didn't hear a positive voice about the building area in the town hall,” said Stanglmaier.

With that he justified the rejection.

Deficiencies in child care

The missing 100 kindergarten places in the Moosburg urban area were also an issue in the video conference. Several participants in the meeting made it clear that an adequate infrastructure with the necessary care facilities had to be created before new families could be brought into the city with residential areas. Green City Councilor and MdL Johannes Becher painted the gloomy picture that the lack of support staff in Bavaria will worsen in the coming years. The Free State had taken the wrong path with free childcare for everyone. Becher would like a system with salary-related tiered fees in order to use the income to improve the quality of care and thus also the jobs. This is the only way to meet the growing need for care personnel.

ELA container: opponents of enlargement work towards referendum

At the end of the talk ELA came up: During the online meeting of Moosburgs Grünen, the moderator Verena Kuch discussed the expansion plans of the container company near Pfrombach.

The city councilor counted the expansion plan against the goals of restrictions on surface sealing: "With this expansion alone, Moosburg would use up its surface sealing for two and a half years." That was too much for Verena Kuch - and that "a fruit tree meadow does not change anything".

Sebastian Greil from the citizens' initiative against the expansion of the container company was also a participant in the virtual meeting and made it clear that the resistance would be increased again.

Greil said clearly that the BI would collect the signatures for a referendum and that the goal of a referendum was clear, with the help of which the project should be stopped.

The citizens' initiative is currently working on a video to draw the public's attention to the expansion plans.

Among other things, one would like to make film recordings of the area with a drone.
