The Umayyad Square in Damascus witnessed a large crowd gathering to celebrate the achievement of the constitutional entitlement and the victory of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad to the position of President of the Republic, which included artistic and singing performances and fireworks.
Citizens filled the square and its entrances, carrying flags and their phones, to document moments of joy and celebration, and to announce the results of the elections, in which more than 78 percent of Syrians eligible to vote participated.
The wounded Sobhi Mustafa Trabelsi said that Syria announced today a new victory with the victory of Dr. Al-Assad, who did not abandon his people in the most difficult circumstances, and the wounded Ahmed Muhammad Sabri expressed his joy and relief that the sacrifices of the brains of the Syrian Arab Army resulted in peace and joy and the victory of President Assad for seven new years.
Ola Hussein said that the victory of Syria, which the Syrians wrote this time in ink, was a continuation of the victory that the Syrians had wielded with their bravery and blood, while Natalie Muhammad Awad indicated that the Syrian people chose their president who would move Syria to the stage of work and reconstruction.
Maya Suleiman indicated that she came with her husband and children to celebrate the victory of Syria, while Aboud Al-Shami said: This large gathering today in the Umayyad Square and the rest of Syria's squares is an expression of love for the leader of the homeland, Bashar Al-Assad.
"I cannot describe my feeling in words," says Mira Al Sheikh, expressing her happiness over the victory of her candidate, Dr. Al-Assad, whom she described as Syria's Hope.
