President Bashar Al-Assad today received a congratulatory cable from President Alexander Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus, in which he congratulated him on his victory in the presidential elections.

President Lukashenko added: Belarus has been and will remain a friend of the Syrian people and will continue to support friendly Syria and attach great importance to intensifying cooperation between Minsk and Damascus in the political, commercial, economic, humanitarian and cultural fields, indicating the interest of the Republic of Belarus to participate in the reconstruction process in Syria.
At the end of his telegram, President Lukashenko wished President al-Assad good health, strength, steadfastness, and success in working for the good of Syria and its people.
