The Liaison Board decided to extend the farm strike until Wednesday due to the government's refusal to lift the closure of beef exports for 30 days.
This was defined by the presidents of the rural entities in a meeting by zoom.
The field strike, which ends today, was fully complied with by the producers.
Since the force measure began last Thursday,
there was no entry of animals into the Liniers market.
During the protests, members of the export sector held negotiations with the Government in order to unblock the conflict and reopen meat exports.
Also from the Argentine Agroindustrial Council (CAA) they had a meeting last Friday with MatΓas Kulfas, Minister of Productive Development, to unblock the situation.
But
there was no contact between the Government and the Liaison Board.
In this sense, from the social network of Argentine Rural Confederations (CRA) they published today the image of many tractors, hinting that a tractor may come in the form of protest.

Given the possibility that the strike would be extended, as has just been decided, the Argentine Chamber of slaughterers and suppliers (Camya) had warned that there
could be a
shortage of
meat
from this Monday.
"We are making a very great effort to cover the supply at this time, but according to our survey we will begin to see empty counters from next week", had said Leonardo Rafael, president of Camya, who represent 80% of the domestic consumption.
In this sense, President
Alberto FernΓ‘ndez
announced on Thursday that meat exports will return when the Government has "resolved the issue" because "there can be no lack of food on the Argentine table."
"We are going to lift the closure when we have resolved this issue," said the President in an interview on YouTube, because "between the exporters and the people, I choose the people."

"I waited for the exporters as long as I had to wait, but there can be no lack of food on the Argentine table," he remarked in an interview.
"If 30% of what is produced is exported, we have a huge problem with internal prices, and then if it is not exported there will be more offers and prices will tend to fall, according to the logic of the market," he explained.
