The planned multi-family house in the Rottenbuch community does not go down well with some of the neighbors in “Klosterblick”.

But their objections brought them nothing - except contradictions from the local council.

He can't understand the excitement.

Rottenbuch

- Markus Bader practiced diplomacy.

The Rottenbuch mayor assured him that he could understand some objections and inquiries.

But once, the restraint was over.

"Underground, it shakes me," he said and winced.

Shortly beforehand, one of the statements that had been received on the project in the “Klosterblick” residential area was read out at the municipal council meeting.

Instead of two semi-detached houses, an apartment building is now to be built there.

The community wants to build it and offer rental apartments.

In a letter to the community, one of the residents fears that “so many neighbors will gawk at our house and garden”.

Words that upset not only Bader.

Some council members also shook their heads.

Vice city hall chief Vitus Gansler motivated to count his neighbors.

"I've never thought about someone looking at the property," said the man from Schönberg.

“Now I've seen it.

20 residential units can watch me when I'm doing something around the house. ”Still, he doesn't think the neighbors are gawkers.

The mood in the “Klosterblick” is heated

But not only these, but also other statements made showed that the mood in the “Klosterblick” is heated.

In the new development area, building sites for single houses and semi-detached houses were allocated as part of a local model.

Some of the buyers are concerned about the announcement that there will now be two fewer semi-detached houses than planned, but the house with rental apartments.

15 listeners in the municipal council meeting

Five residents sent comments on the project to the administration, and around 15 spectators attended the municipal council meeting.

"We would be happy if there was so much encouragement," said Bader when he greeted them.

Before he and branch manager Stefan Vogt read out the comments received on changes to the development plan, he clarified a few points about the planned apartment building.

It's about social housing

On the one hand, word got around that it was about social housing.

“What we do is municipal housing,” said Bader.

The municipality is creating rental apartments that are supposed to be affordable.

“There are people who cannot afford a house.

Ordinary people.

A hairdresser or a carer, for example, a young couple or senior citizens, ”explained Bader.

"It's about them, our locals, because there are simply no apartments on the free market."

Clearance areas and height specifications are adhered to

The development plan for the apartment building will not be changed significantly either.

Because this is possible according to the existing specifications - namely, the plan speaks of “individual houses”, ie buildings that are free.

This can be both single and multi-family houses.

On top of that, the planned building should hardly differ from the size and shape of two semi-detached houses.

Clearance areas and height requirements would be adhered to, and enough parking spaces would be created on the ground.

Since the houses are already on the left and right, they will be oriented towards this, including the location.

Bader has not yet been able to present a drawing - a planner has yet to be commissioned.

The local council wants to create five to six apartments

There is only one reason that the local council has to change the development plan: the number of possible apartments.

Two are currently approved per semi-detached house, so four would be possible anyway on the selected area.

The local council would like to create five to six apartments - depending on what is feasible.

This increases the number of residential units permitted by building law in the “Klosterblick” from 57 to 59. The local council rejected the fact that the traffic - as feared by residents - is increasing.

In addition, the traffic situation in residential areas is subject to constant change anyway - for example, if today's children in the settlement will get their driving license themselves in a few years' time.

Only one vote against when voting

In the end, almost the entire municipal council voted for the project.

Only Christoph Donderer does not.

The CSU man supports municipal housing, but not on the last available land of a local model.

Instead, he brought up a building in the foal yard.

However, due to the central location, residential space for senior citizens is being considered there.

In addition, a meeting place or pilgrimage site should be created.

“A lot of ideas still have to be weighed up,” said Bader.

“There will be many years in the country.

We want success now. ”And quickly create living space.

“This is the first project.

Not the last. "
