Anyone who has planned a vacation trip must in almost every case submit a certificate that a negative corona test has been carried out.

But which test is required for which holiday country?

District

- The Whitsun holidays are running and the incidence values are falling everywhere.

This has the pleasant side effect that vacation trips are possible again.

On the other hand, the fact that proof of a corona test must be presented for almost every trip abroad is less pleasant.

Vacationers have to navigate a cliff with it.

You must have the correct test for the respective holiday country.

The question arises as to which test is the right one.

Erika Breu from the press office of the Weilheim-Schongau district office answered our newspaper's question as follows: "Which test applies to which country and is needed depends on the law of the respective country and must be questioned there at the Foreign Office."

Corona vacation: This test is required for Austria, Italy and Sweden

When entering Austria, Italy and Sweden - as of the end of May - proof of a negative rapid antigen test is sufficient.

In all cases, this must not be older than 48 hours and the certificate must be in German or English for Austria and in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or French for Sweden.

There is no information about the language in which the test certificate must be available for entry into Italy.

Vacation despite Corona: This applies to Spain and Greece

According to the Foreign Office, proof of a negative PCR test must be presented for other holiday destinations such as Spain or Greece.

The test must not be more than 72 hours ago.

The test certificate must be in Spanish, English, French or German for Spain and in English or German for Greece.

The Foreign Office updates its information on entry into the individual countries on a daily basis.

In addition, many airlines require test certificates.

Which test is required should be found out in advance from the airline.

Vacation: Where can you get the correct corona test in the Weilheim-Schongau district?

So much for the conditions for entry.

But where can you get the right test in the district?

According to information from the district office, pharmacies, resident doctors, test stations and authorized third parties are generally allowed to issue certificates of rapid tests.

The district manager of the Association of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) in Weilheim-Schongau, Hans Eberl, confirms that the test stations in the district supervised by the BRK will issue certificates of the rapid test in German and English free of charge.

"The demand from people who want to go to Austria or Italy, for example, is noticeable at the moment."

Nina Hasenbalg, from the Karwendelapotheke in Weilheim, also confirms that there is currently a large rush of holidaymakers at the test stations she oversees in Weilheim and Oderding, which offer rapid tests.

For PCR tests, she referred to the offers in the state capital of Munich.

The situation is different with proof of a PCR test that has been carried out.

According to the District Office, this can only be issued by resident doctors and at the Free State's test stations.

The Bavarian test station at the Weilheim location is supervised by the Weilheim-Schongau GmbH hospital.

When asked whether the test for symptom-free people is even offered, Norman Fötzsch, who is responsible for the test station, states: “In contrast to doctors' practices, we only test people without symptoms, which is why the PCR test is on ours Test station also free of charge for people who want to go on holiday. ”The fees for the test certificate have been discontinued this week.

The district office provides information on the individual offers to have a rapid or PCR test carried out in the district on its homepage.
