A mass celebration was held in front of the Citadel of Aleppo to celebrate the victory of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad to the position of President of the Republic, during which a number of patriotic and heritage songs expressing the authentic Aleppo folklore were performed by the artist Shadi Jamil and a number of artists.
The crowd raised the national flags and pictures of Dr. Al-Assad and stressed that this gathering of joy is a victory for Syria in achieving the constitutional entitlement, and the Syrian people adhere to their national choice and their cohesion with the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army to preserve the country's unity.
In statements to SANA correspondent, Omar Hussein Al-Hassan, a member of the People's Assembly, explained that the Syrian people have proven to the world today that their voice has the voice of truth by choosing whoever represents them to lead the Syrian leadership, which we will rebuild, taking hope and working as a slogan for us between the priest Ibrahim Nasir, the spiritual head of the Arab Evangelical Church in Aleppo, that this is a great demonstration. Confirm that Dr. Al-Assad is the people's choice and free decision, because he preserved the unity of the Syrian geography and changed the political and geographical map of the region.
Archbishop Antoine Shahda, Metropolitan of Aleppo, said to the Syriac Catholics that it is an indescribable feeling of the victory achieved by Syria by electing Dr. Al-Assad, wishing that the coming period will be a stage of prosperity for the new Syria, while artist Shadi Jamil said that this great mass gathering is a translation of the love of the people of Aleppo and loyalty to Syria and its leader who we see in the future in His eyes are our hope and the hope of the fans who love him.
Artist Mustafa Hilal explained that this large crowd is an expression of the joy of the people of Aleppo, and it is a true feast with the election of Dr. Al-Assad so that Syria will remain strong in its people and army and rebuild it anew.
The artist, Gerges Jabara, explained that he touched joy in the faces and hearts of all people, noting that the achievement of the constitutional entitlement is the title of a new phase for Syria, and we hope that prosperity will be achieved for this resistant country so that it remains a title of hope and action.
Nadia Mfoukh expressed her happiness with the victory of the Syrian people and the accomplishment of the presidential elections on time, which expresses the unity and strength of Syria with its army and leadership, so that the joy of life in it will return again and remain the country of peace.
