- Now it's official, the responsible committee has made the decision: There will be no Allershausen folk festival in 2021 either.
Even more: there will also be no proposed alternative event such as a “Volksfest to go” on the part of the Volksfestgesellschaft.
"Despite the current decline in incidence, it would be irresponsible to hold an event of this size and number of visitors," says Werner Batoja, chairman of the Volksfestgesellschaft Allershausen GbR.
But the necessary planning security is also lacking due to the current legal situation, so that the Volksfest Committee had no other option than to cancel the Volksfest for this year as well.
“The health of our employees and our guests is very important to us.
It would be irresponsible if even one person fell ill with Corona as a result of holding a folk festival, "said the chairman of the GbR.
With a view to the coming year, he adds: "We are already looking forward to the year 2022, in which we will hopefully be able to attack again and celebrate a carefree folk festival."
