Novotel announces the return of dinners with the chickens, this time everywhere in France!

2021-05-31T20:23:34.737Z

Until June 9, the hotel chain offers its guests the opportunity to dine from 6.30 p.m. in order to respect the curfew. About a hundred establishments are taking part in the operation and in Paris a welcoming hostel 2.0 has even been placed on the roof of the Novotel Porte de Versailles.

"Who dines with the hens, sleeps with the hens."

Novotel is bringing a very old-fashioned expression up to date.

For a very concrete reality: continue to be able to dine at the restaurant despite the curfew which empties the terraces at 9 p.m.

Until June 8, the hotel chain of the Accor group had the good idea to open its restaurants to its customers from 6.30 p.m.

At the time of the hens, then.

An approach launched in the fall of 2020, during the “first” curfew. "

Given the success of the operation last October, we are delighted to repeat the experience, this time with a strong presence in the region

", indicates Antoine Dubois, marketing director of the brand who, through this operation, seeks to "

Make the period positive.

»In France, 94 Novotel establishments lend themselves to the game of these

early dinners

. Among the most prominent, the Novotel Domaine de Maffliers (Val-d'Oise); Bordeaux Lake; Nancy; Annecy Center and Nice Center. What a change of scene and treat yourself to an evening away from the house.

The operation is coupled with a dinner / night offer (including aperitif, dish of the day, dessert of the day and double room), for a price that varies depending on the hotel (it was € 59 per person last year).

Pedzouille, a rustic enclave on the rooftops of Paris

One of the brand's latest additions (it opened a year and a half ago), located Porte de Versailles in the 15th arrondissement of the capital, is launching a new, already fashionable restaurant for the occasion: Pedzouille La Barn (after La Bassecour in the 2nd arrondissement and L'Étable in the 10th arrondissement).

Direction the 8th and last floor to reach this "mountain inn", astride a rooftop with an eloquent view of the whole of Paris.

"

No Prosecco or Moscow mule here,

" we are immediately warned.

Rather a “Breton Mule”: a cocktail with cider and Calva (which we recommend) served in a Breton bowl.

The waiters, like an “innkeeper” (it's flocked on their jackets), gravitate between long wooden guest tables.

Some dishes arrive in small shovels (or giant spoons, it depends).

This very marketed but friendly "barn" plays the rustic theme thoroughly.

Until the plates, country and mismatched.

But inside, what do we find there?

Local products - Vendée, Basque, Breton - with a touch of modernity (seafood fried and béarnaise with CBD; sliced duck with chimichurri sauce, etc.). Frontal and plentiful. And, like egg or chicken, there is only one dish, we follow with a piperade of scrambled eggs or a free range chicken with sake. The view of the Eiffel Tower, quite distinct, and the towers of La Défense, offers a funny contrast with this gallinaceous-country atmosphere. The electro DJ, posted on the terrace, will not dare to say the opposite.

On the liquid side, the menu almost exclusively refers to organic, natural or biodynamic wines.

If that's not enough, the restaurant is flanked by two bars: the properties named l'Abreuvoir (inside) and La Buvette (outside).

We return to our room lightly, sure to go to bed early.

The sun is not yet.

Rest assured, getting up when the rooster crows is only an option.
