The Argentine officials arrived in Havana on Thursday "to learn from the Cuban health authorities and researchers about the progress in the development of the Abdala and Soberana vaccines," the Health Minister explained from her Twitter account.
From that social network, he celebrated this Saturday that "the first vaccine developed and produced in Latin America is advancing."
He did so by publishing a photo with Nicolini, both with protective caps and showing doses of the vaccines that Cuba develops.
The agreement with Cuba
Vizzoti said from the Cuban capital that with the authorities of that country they spoke "of the common project and of working not only to value a fully developed, produced and applied vaccine in Latin America, but also to do so in other axes of what is health and science and technology ".
Through a press release, Vizzotti said that "they are working hard to strengthen ties, access the vaccine, but above all collaborate in everything they can, both from the provision of inputs, the possibility of purchase and support to scale production. "
He also referred to the possibility of "advancing with our regulatory entity and that of Cuba to study the interim analyzes of Phase 3 and expand the possibility of research in scenarios such as our country, which can also give a very interesting role to the vaccine."
