According to the Afghan Ministry of Defense, six wedding party members were killed and four others injured in a Taliban attack near the capital Kabul.

The attack on Saturday evening was apparently directed against a military post;

Instead, however, the missile struck a house where a wedding was being held.

The authorities blamed the radical Islamic Taliban.

They denied the allegation and stated that the government army had fired the missile.

The Interior Ministry in Kabul said Sunday that the Taliban had killed nearly 250 civilians and injured more than 500 in one month through explosives and other attacks.

The violence in Afghanistan has increased sharply in the past few weeks.

Observers warn that the security situation in the country could worsen after the complete withdrawal of NATO troops.

US President Joe Biden has announced a complete withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan no later than September 11th, the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, which were the starting point of the US intervention in Afghanistan.
