The Dießen fire brigade has a new full-time equipment manager: Bernhard Weber had his first day at work in the middle of the month and was greeted by commander Florian König.
Dießen - The 40-year-old from Hofstetten is a firefighter through and through: For 26 years he has been a volunteer with the fire fighters in his home town, where he is a machinist, equipment manager and group leader.
Most recently, the trained agricultural machinery mechanic worked for the community of Schondorf as an employee of the building yard.
"I found out about the job posting in Dießen via the Internet, and after working with dangerous goods in Schondorf, I decided to apply," said Weber.
The married family man is now, among other things, responsible for the vehicle fleet and equipment maintenance for the fire brigades in the market in Dießen.
“After the good preliminary talks, I'm really looking forward to the new task.” In his free time, he enjoys working in his forest.
Commander Florian König wished Bernhard Weber all the best in his new place of work on his first day at work and is looking forward to working with him.
