An earlier survey by the Education Association indicated that 40% of teachers intend to leave the education sector, with senior teachers accounting for the largest proportion. The main reason is "increasing political pressure."
Since the teacher's notice period for resignation is generally 3 months, if you no longer teach in the next school year, more than the end of the month or before the end of this month, please resign.
Many famous direct-funded schools have lost teachers in recent months and must recruit full-time teachers to take up their posts in the next school year.
Among them, Diocesan Girls' College and Good Hope School recruit 5 to 6 full-time teachers respectively.
Both schools lack English and mathematics teachers, and many senior high schools are also short of elective subjects.
"Hong Kong 01" asked the above two schools about the loss of teachers and the recruitment situation, but no reply was received before the deadline.

Chairman of the Direct Subsidy Council: More than ten teachers have left the school
The chairman of the Hong Kong Direct Subsidy School Council, Chen Di'an, said that the number of teachers leaving this year is more than in previous years, and there are even schools that have lost double-digit teachers.
He pointed out that since ordinary schools require teachers to have a three-month notice period, it is estimated that schools will generally understand the situation of teacher attrition in early June. He believes that if there is time to complete the recruitment process, it may not have a big impact on teaching in the coming year. Normally, when a teacher leaves the job, the school will advertise for someone."
The Hong Kong Youth Academy, where Chen Di'an is the principal, currently only recruits one Chinese history teacher.
He revealed that the school has no foreign teachers to resign, and two or three local teachers have been transferred to other schools. The situation is similar to that of previous years. "Foreign teachers account for half of the school, and no one will leave for the time being."
The chairman of the Hong Kong Direct Subsidy School Council, Chen Dian, said that the number of teachers leaving this year is more than in previous years.
