According to the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF), a tropical cyclone is formed east of the Philippines. Tomorrow (May 31) its sea level center pressure will be as low as 996hPa, which is a tropical storm and it will gradually increase and move to the sea east of Taiwan. , Friday (June 4) was the closest to Taiwan, and then moved northeastward towards Japan.

The forecast of the US Global Forecast System (GFS) is similar, but the tropical cyclone is expected to have a minimum pressure of 971hPa at the center of the sea level next week, which is equivalent to a typhoon.

The Central Meteorological Bureau of Taiwan’s Ministry of Transportation also stated that a tropical depression has formed in the Pacific. This morning, the central pressure is 1002 hPa. The tropical depression may be upgraded to a mild typhoon in the next 24 hours, named "Caiyun", continuing to the north. The move is expected to be in the east of Luzon on June 3 and 4, but the intensity may be weakened and has no direct impact on Taiwan.

The highest temperature in the urban area will rise slightly to 32 degrees.

The trough of low pressure will affect Hong Kong again near the weekend. The Observatory expects that it will be mostly cloudy for several days starting from Friday (June 4), with occasional showers and thunderstorms. On Saturday (June 5), the rain will sometimes be heavy; The week will continue to rain, and the sun is expected to reappear as soon as next Monday (June 7).
