A group of 117 health care workers at a hospital in the US state of Texas has filed a lawsuit in state court against employers' mandate to require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Washington Post quoted employees of Houston Methodist Hospital as saying in the lawsuit that the employer's requirement of compulsory vaccination violates the Nuremberg Act, a set of standards established after World War II to prevent experiments on humans without their consent.

The workers explained that the hospital gave them the choice between obtaining a vaccine or losing their jobs, which constitutes a violation of state law, and they asked the court to prevent the hospital from expelling employees who did not receive vaccinations.

The lawsuit comes after the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission allowed companies to force employees to be vaccinated in the workplace against Covid-19 amid a lack of demand for vaccinations due to factors including inconsistency or skepticism about vaccines.
