The chairman of the alliance, Yu Changhai, said that the 14th Five-Year Plan mentions the establishment of an international innovation and technology center in Hong Kong. He believes that the country has clear arrangements for Hong Kong and can use the advantages of Hong Kong as an international city to allow biotechnology to spread to the world.

He mentioned that Hong Kong has scientific research advantages. There are a total of 7 universities and a large number of biotech companies in science and technology parks for scientific research, which can cover the upstream, midstream and downstream biotech industry chain.

The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference member and doctor Gao Yongwen said that the Greater Bay Area's demand for high-level medical services is increasing.

In addition, Hong Kong is currently discussing with the mainland authorities to use the Hong Kong University Shenzhen Hospital as a pilot to use Hong Kong registered drugs. It is hoped that the authorities can extend the plan to other Hong Kong-funded hospitals and fully implement the "Hong Kong Medicine and Hong Kong Medicine" policy as soon as possible.
