The development of the corona pandemic in Germany is currently positive.
That gives many German citizens hope for a return to normality - and further easing.
Munich - It's not quite enough for the next threshold yet.
But at 35.2, the nationwide seven-day incidence value scratched the number that makes further easing possible.
The hope for less strict corona measures in the coming weeks is absolutely justified.
Because the trend of the seven-day incidence is clearly pointing downwards.
In the previous week it was nationwide at 64.5.
If the development continues like this, life in Germany will again offer significantly more leisure opportunities.
Corona: seven-day incidence soon under 35?
These easing could then come
If the seven-day incidence falls below 35 in the coming week and stays at this level for several days, everyday life becomes even more pleasant.
In addition to the lower contact restrictions, events with a maximum of 1000 people could be allowed again.
This applies to the outdoor and indoor areas, provided that there are seats for all participants and that they can show a negative test (max. 24 hours old).
Clubs and discos could also reopen with a stable seven-day incidence below 35.
At least if there is an outdoor area, up to 100 people are likely to be there if they can show a current, negative rapid test.
The obligation to test would be eliminated at the same time in indoor catering and in leisure facilities.
In addition, the number of customers in shops would be less strictly limited depending on the size of the shop.
Meanwhile, SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach is already calling for an EM exception for restaurateurs.
Corona: seven-day incidence in descent - first easing already implemented
By cracking the 50 limit for the incidence value, there was some relief nationwide.
In counties whose seven-day incidence is consistently below 50, the necessary quick test was not required when visiting outdoor restaurants, the theater, the cinema or a concert.
There is also no longer any obligation to test in retail or indoor sports.
Daycare centers and schools can switch back to regular operations.
If the incidence value remains below 50 two weeks after the relaxation has been implemented, further relaxation measures are possible.
These include leisure events with up to 50 people, the opening of indoor catering on a trial basis, the opening of swimming pools to people (with a corona rapid test) and the permit for contact sports indoors.
However, there may be different interpretations from state to state.
If the corona pandemic continues to develop so positively in Germany, most German citizens can expect a much more relaxed everyday life.
The return to normal could come gradually - just in time for the beginning of the summer months.
