Mayor Ulrich Proske reported that the "Tarzan Railway on the Hupfauer Höhe" had to be dismantled.
He also reported on the removal of a slide because the children could injure themselves on it.
In order to avoid such situations, the city employs "two certified playground officers".
And they are currently in the process of taking stock.
"It's been going on for two weeks," informed Proske.
Of course, he also pointed out that a playground always harbors potential for conflict, for example "when the basketball is booming until 9 p.m.".
The interests of the residents must be taken into account, said the mayor.
Playground register is to be created
The object of Pro Ebersberg's application was first of all to draw up an inventory, i.e. a kind of playground cadastre, from which information about the condition, equipment and use of urban and private playgrounds and leisure areas emerges. This has already been partially processed, reported city youth worker Peter Hölzer in the meeting. A renovation and expansion concept is then to be developed based on this inventory. For example, the repair of the basketball field at the Protestant church came into focus. Parents should also have a say. Marina Matjanovski (CSU) reminded the social committee that there had been an attempt a long time ago to set up a playground south of the railway line in Ebersberg.The applicants at the time were the Frauen Union and the Junge Union, which is why the CSU gladly supported Pro Ebersberg's application, according to Matjanovski.
New locations
Pro Ebersberg could imagine new locations not only south of the railway line, but also on Friedenseiche VIII, as well as an extension of the opening hours of the sports area at the middle school. The proposal contained the suggestion that the Social Committee should be informed about the implementation status and any new requirements once a year. In the justification it was recalled that there are quarters in Ebersberg that “do not have sufficient or no offer at all”. Matjanovski added that there was another group that needed to be considered. Playgrounds have to be designed in such a way, she said, that children with disabilities can also play there. That would be a playground for everyone.
