Hama-Sana
The explosion of a landmine left behind by terrorist organizations in an agricultural harvester in the village of Al-Jibin in the western Hama countryside, caused the burning of about 30 dunums of wheat fields and the damage of the harvester.
A source in the Hama Police Command said in a statement to SANA reporter that a mine left by the terrorists of “Jabhat al-Nusra” exploded today while farmers were harvesting lands planted with wheat in the village of al-Jibin, north of the town of Maharda in the northern countryside.
The source indicated that the explosion damaged the harvester, burned an area of agricultural land, and damaged about 30 dunums of wheat, in addition to 200 dunums of harvested straw.
In a statement to SANA reporter between Eng. Awfa Wassouf, director of the General Authority for the Management and Development of the Forest, immediately after the accident, cars and firefighting crews were sent to the scene of the explosion and put out the fires that left behind.
Before their defeat, the terrorist organizations planted mines and explosive devices in their places of spread and hidden them in villages and towns and in agricultural lands to inflict the greatest possible harm on the people who return to their areas after liberating them from terrorism.
