On Saturday afternoon there was a serious traffic accident on the bypass near the town of Ettringen.
Two people were killed in the process.

A cyclist and a motorcyclist collided.
Any help came too late for both men.
Accident near Ettringen: Cyclists had probably overlooked the biker
As the police headquarters in Swabia South / West wrote in a press release, the 55-year-old motorcyclist drove from Türkheim on the bypass around Ettringen. At the same time, south of the community, a 27-year-old cyclist came out of a dirt road and onto the road. He probably wanted to cross it, but overlooked the motorcyclist approaching him. A collision then occurred in the intersection area - both men fell.
The drivers sustained serious injuries in the collision.
The emergency services immediately made their way to the scene of the accident.
A rescue helicopter was also used.
However, the paramedics could no longer help the men.
They both died of serious injuries on site.
The integrated control center * in Krumbach then notified a crisis intervention team to look after the relatives.
Accident near Ettringen: Police ask witnesses to report
The Ettringen fire brigade closed the road for around two and a half hours to record the accident.
The Bad Wörishofen police station took over the investigation.
It is not yet clear how the accident actually took place.
The police therefore asked witnesses to report to them.
