DECRYPTION - Notoriously schizophrenic and Islamist, Ndiaga Dieye had been accompanied since his release from prison. But he took action.

A system that is running out of steam.

The La Chapelle-sur-Erdre case where, on Friday, a radicalized and schizophrenic inmate stabbed a policewoman two months after a sentence served to the end and yet accompanied by socio-judicial monitoring, testifies to a worrying impotence.

Ndiaga Dieye, 39, who sowed terror, had not escaped the vigilance of the prison institution.

He was even extremely well known in many establishments since he belonged to this category of prisoners subject to "

baluchonnage

", the practice of moving unmanageable prisoners from establishment to establishment in order to relieve the staff.

In eight years, he has scoured almost all the establishments in the north and west of France: Douai, Nantes, Rouen-Longuenesse, Lille-Annoeullin, Lille-Sequedin, Vendin-le-Vieil, Fresnes, Réaux ... During this long journey, his violence and his behavior did not escape legal medicine or prison guards.
