Police intercepted 584 vehicles for three days in crackdown on drunk driving in North New Territories and arrested 13 people

Nine male drivers (27-61 years old) were arrested on suspicion of "drunk driving".

In addition, a 44-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of “driving during license suspension”, “driving without third party insurance” and “driving after taking medicine”, a 38-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of “refusing to provide blood samples”, and 1 A 36-year-old male driver was arrested for "refusal to provide blood samples" and "refusal to undergo rapid oral fluid test."

In addition, on the evening of May 28, during the installation of roadblocks in Yuen Long by the Special Task Force of the Transport Department of the New Territories North, a 43-year-old male driver was arrested for "unauthorized access to transportation vehicles" and " "Driving without a valid driver's license" and "Driving without third party insurance".

The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of Yuen Long Police District for follow-up.
