A joint investigation, which even involved the manufacturer of the original parts, concluded with five people arrested, in addition to another 17 notified and the seizure of 50,000 apocryphal masks, in addition to machinery and raw materials to achieve their falsification.

They also found 7 firearms, for civil and war use, and more than 1,000 ammunition.

The scammers made, collected, distributed and sold chinstraps falsifying the Atom Protect brand, without marketing authorization or compliance with the sanitary measures required by ANMAT, and even on the package was inscribed the legend "Conicet NanoDak joint development", as is comes in the official product.

The case was initiated ex officio, after an anonymous complaint, when the prosecutor Rolero Santurián learned of the sale of Atom Protect trout chinstraps and called the manager of the Conicet chinstrap manufacturing company, who

became the complainant,

for a testimonial statement.

regarding the procedures for making and distributing the original chinstraps, as well as the quality of the materials used.

The investigations were jointly in charge of the Special Operations Division and Complex Computer Crimes Division of the City Police, together with the Judicial Investigation Corps (CIJ).

The Atom company was part of the investigation and provided details of the manufacture of the chinstraps.

The operations also had the collaboration of personnel from the General Directorate of Inspection and Control and the General Directorate for Labor Protection of the City Government.

The researchers were able to confirm through on-site inquiries, and through social networks, that

the organization was in charge of all the steps of commercialization

, from production to sale, through collection and distribution.

The raids granted by Judge Carlos Aostri, head of the PCyF Court 19 and, via a warrant, by the Court of Guarantees 1 of the Matanza, in charge of Dr. Mary Mabel Castillo

, occurred in Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires territory.

There the officers found more than 50,000 chinstraps that were apocryphal and ready for sale.

In addition, in the visited properties, different cuts of fabric, elastics, boxes, labels, screen printing machines were found to achieve the falsification of the element, cell phones and computers.

The raids were carried out at homes in the City and in the province.

In one of the properties, on Avenida Independencia at 4000, in addition to arresting the person in charge of the place, the agents found: 1 Glock 9x19mm caliber pistol with extended magazine and 15 cartridges, 1 S&W brand 22 caliber revolver, 250 22 caliber cartridges, a prod electric, 10 long 38 caliber cartridges, 1 12/70 caliber cartridge, 3 45 caliber cartridges, 3 9mm caliber cartridges, 2 S&W brand 357 caliber revolvers, 1 Ruger brand 9x19mm pistol with a loaded magazine of the same caliber and 1 brand 45 caliber pistol Colt with two magazines of the same caliber.

The other items seized were the result of raids at a Virrey del Pino service station, a local in Laferrere, another in Isidro Casanova, and in the Buenos Aires neighborhoods of Almagro, Balvanera and San Nicolás.

As for the five detainees, they were charged with violating articles 201 (Crimes against Health) and 174 (Fraud against the Public Administration) of the Penal Code and Law 22,362 (Adulterated Copies).

In addition, some 17 people were notified for being related to the case.
