Sinwar: Netanyahu has not finished his path, he is like a magician who reinvents himself (Walla system!)

A security source said today (Friday) that talks with Hamas, mediated by Egypt, on the settlement process and the POW deal "have not really stopped" - but are delayed due to the political situation in Israel and the possible change of government.

This week, Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, said that his organization was ready for indirect negotiations with Israel on the issue.

"Negotiations on the settlement process and the prisoners and missing persons with Hamas, mediated by Egypt, are being delayed due to the political situation in Israel, but have not really stopped," the source said.

"This is a natural fear of the parties of a change of government in Israel and therefore we are waiting."

According to the security source, Egypt is a significant axis in the negotiations and fully understands the Israeli position - progress on the issue of prisoners and missing persons as a condition for any progress in contacts in the settlement process and rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip, except humanitarian issues - as well as other parties involved in the process.

He said Egypt has demonstrated more than good will to assist in the negotiations, and extended - contrary to the past - attempts to influence the Hamas leadership, but it is important to note that there are other international bodies involved in the process, including some of the Gulf countries, the United States and Europe.

The defense official added that contrary to statements Hamas officials hint at the release of 1,111 prisoners in a future deal - there is no change in Israel's position, and there is no intention to release Israeli killers from Israeli prisons. He stressed that Defense Minister Bnei Gantz is committed to this policy and insists on it in all talks. Humanitarian in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas: Failure to introduce Qatari money will lead to escalation

Meanwhile, the newspaper Al-Akhbar reported this morning that in the absence of an agreement on a lull, the Qatari mediator informed Hamas that Israel was withholding the grant of the grant on their behalf.

Therefore, Hamas sent a scathing message to Egypt that it intends to return to escalation at the border.

The media learned from Hamas sources that the factions had informed mediators from Egypt and the UN that the continuation of "enemy provocations" against Gaza and its poor residents was nothing but a push for escalation and confrontation, and demanded that Qatari money enter Gaza by the end of next week.
