Five deaths are potentially linked to the failure of emergency numbers

The traditional emergency numbers (15-17-18-112) are operational again,

"unless the prefect indicates otherwise"

in the event of a still fragile local situation.

Friday afternoon, the government announced the end of the crisis in a press release.

After the giant bug which paralyzed emergency calls overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, the situation has therefore been restored.

"Things are back to normal"

and

"the situation is back under control

", Declared the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, at the end of the last crisis meeting which was held early Friday morning in order to take stock of the last night.

The scattered malfunctions still noted during the day Thursday, despite urgent repairs, could give rise to fear of a further deterioration, but the night passed without notable incident.
